Discovering Local

Discovering Local
Outside Old St Mary's in Clonmel, County Tipperary

During a field journaling exercise, I asked creative students to visit a selection of local sites and share what they saw by using Office Sway as their collaborative space. During the past six years, I've asked students to share work inside Sways. I think up to 10 people can simultaneously work on the same Sway but I normally limit the team size to five people.

We teach an assortment of collaborative tools to creative students in the Department of Digital Arts and Media at the Technological University of the Shannon. The Office 365 environment that students use includes a variety of clever apps and services that can elevate the work of content creatives. The Sway posted above was created by five digital animation students as they completed a two hour field trip around the local area. Expect to see more of their journaling throughout 2022.
